    Jardin De Palme

Our residence is located in the heart of the village of La Palme, in an historical building, constructed in the 18th century and completely renovated in recent years.

To come to our residence is to discover a friendly, cordial, and pleasant atmosphere.

When renovating this building, we gave great attention to preserving its authenticity. In addition to maintaining the external architecture, aspects of the internal structure were also respected, for example, the original central staircase that winds around an open shaft for light from the top of the building.

When old interior walls, floors, and beams needed repair or replacement, traditional natural materials were used. Environmental/biological concerns resulted in choice of materials such as Thermo-Hemp for wall insulation.

Languedoc Roullisson – A Sunny Area!

Languedoc-Roussillon is a very sunny and lovely area of France. It combines two very old provinces, each with its own strong personality. Scattered around this historic area are charming towns with original medieval walls, as well as villages with abbeys, citadels, and castles. The geography provides stunning vistas of the sea, mountains, and fields.

In this varied and beautiful landscape is a soil that provides the basis for the good wine of the area, which includes Fitou and Corbieres. It is also the basis for wonderful fruits, vegetables, and honey. All of these ingredients contribute to an interesting and authentic cuisine. In this charming area, which was protected by the last fortresses of the “Corbieres Maritime,” is the village of La Palme with its seal of “historical treasure.”

About 15 minutes from the residence is what to many would be the most attractive part of a visit, namely, the Mediterranean Sea with its beaches of fine white sand and seafood restaurants.

Other activities include walking, cycling, horseback riding (several clubs for horses exist in the area), and windsurfing (a few hundred meters away).
